Improving voluntary and community support for children and young people

On 14th May representatives from a number of voluntary and community organisations met to review developments in the sector relating to children and young people and to discuss / plan for the future. Such networking is central to the network’s principles and goals of:
- acting as a voice for users of our services – both within the sector and to the wider statutory agencies
- providing a focus and vehicle for information sharing - again within the VCS and between VCS and the outside agencies
- establishing a forum for mutual support and to enhance collaborative working
