About the RCC

The Isle of Wight Rural Community Council (IWRCC) is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. It has over 70 members, all of which are other voluntary or community organisations and their representatives elect a Board of Trustees from amongst their number.

The charitable objectives of the IWRCC, as stated in its Memorandum and Articles of Association are:

'To promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community in the County of the Isle of Wight in the furtherance of health and conservation or protection of the environment in a manner recognised as charitable and for the relief of poverty, distress, disability and sickness'.
