Culture and Heritage

The Culture & Heritage Network (CHN) has been set up to enable culture, heritage and art focussed groups to work in partnership, promoting and strengthening their position on the Isle of Wight.

The network also aims to enable voluntary organisations working within culture, heritage and arts to develop collective and independent policies and programmes, and to inform local and regional strategic bodies via representation and campaigning.

It is more difficult for organisations working alone to influence developments taking place around them. Should the need arise the CHN will allow several quiet voices to become one representative shout.

A strong network will also provide a forum to share information and good practice, and develop opportunities for working together.
